Bringing Light to Homes
We started Central Queens Jewish Community Circle, with our Jewish Community Chanukah project. Our goal was to bring joy to those who feel alone and forgotten, so it just made sense to bring Chanukah light into their homes. We had not yet started fundraising, so we started off with a self-funded campaign to deliver 100 menorahs. The result was 100 happy recipients; 100 Jewish homes filled with Chanukah cheer. With your help, and the help of the extended community, we hope to build on this project each year.
